Hello AS Media Girls

I would like to welcome you to the new ISTOP Motion Blog. Here you will complete a mini group project based on creating an animation piece for a song of your choice.
The purpose of this project is to get you to learn a new media software before you start A2 Media in September.
The project should also help you enhance your skills in editing and filming a piece using music, as your Advanced Portfolio next year will be based on creating a music video. Other skills which you will gain from this project also includes, meeting deadlines, planning and conducting research and reflective evaluation which, will all be useful for your upcoming assessed project!
Also, from the animation process you may wish to combine moving image with animation when producing your music video next year.
Hope you enjoy the project, and remember we only have 8 weeks to complete the task and upload!! Have Fun!

Types of Music Videos

There are three types of music videos.

Narrative Base
Performance Base
Concept Base

Research into the above areas and discover the differences. Then decide which type of video you will focus on for your animation. Explain how you will convey the type of video to the audience from giving examples from your ideas and storyboard.
